Queer polyamorous disabled half-Filipino wheelchair user living with his older sister and brother-in-law. With the exception of rooming in a long-term care facility for a year, I've spent most of my life with family.
I want to write a novel but have been unsuccessful due to dissatisfaction with the story and moving on to a new plot, bad bouts of depression, and sudden changes in my life.
What else? I was briefly a military brat until my dad retired from the Air Force when I was 11. Even when he was in the military, we didn't move around much (my disability is the major reason). However, when I hit my early 20s, my dad accepted a job that moved us to California.
Two years later, I was living in Indiana with my parents (dad got a promotion of sorts). Then, when my dad received another job opportunity, I had a choice of staying with my parents or moving in with my older sister. I chose the latter. That's how I ended up back in Illinois.
I don't mind answering questions about my disability and how it affects me. At 41 years old, I've practically heard every question, so it's not easy to surprise me. Aaaaaaand… By mentioning my age I have definitely dated this journal…
